What is Interior Detailing and why do I need it?
As the name implies, this is a process of deep cleaning the inner parts of a vehicle interior cabin including leather, plastic, vinyl, carbon fibre plastic and natural fibres.
To clean the inside of the car’s cabinet, different methods such as vacuuming and steam-cleaning are used. It includes the door jambs, every section of the center console, and around the buttons and controls.
A profesional detailer will make the interior look like it just arrived from the manufacture.
On the inside, detailers will vacuum all areas, as well as employ the use of a carpet shampoo to remove any stains. Other surfaces such as upholstery, trims and headlining, will also be wet cleaned. We use special brushes, hog hair ones or compressed air, to clean any vents or dials found in the car. Windows and seals will also be attended to. Seats, whether leather or cloth, will be worked on with very specific products to the material. If leather, we often finish with a leather protector.
Are there any benefits?
-
Retain the value of your vehicle- taking expert care of your vehicle’s inside will keep its resale or trade-in value high.
-
Professional detailing regularly protects the interior of the car and keeps it looking newer for longer
-
Eliminate odor - Detailers tackle smells by extracting dirt and grime and then applying an odor eliminator to help target bothersome scents and get rid of them. Air freshener is a temporary fix to mask odors, not remove them as an odor eliminator would.
-
Keep allergies at bay -For many, springtime means runny noses and red, puffy eyes. It means sneezing and sniffling, in constant search for a tissue. A huge source of allergens is in your car.
-
Improves comfort - Driving a clean and neat car is pleasurable and highly satisfying.
If you have not been taking your car for detailing, it is high time you start. Detailing will see you enjoy some benefits such as extending your car’s life, improving aesthetics, maintaining dash conditions, and improving engine efficiency. But most importantly, you should work with a reputable car detailing company.
